You Gave Me Hope

I was down and weary,

Looking for someone to lift me up,

I lost my hope and my faith,

I wandered aimlessly
,

Looking for hope and fulfillment,

Nothing in eternity could ever have saved me.

But there in my deepest despair you came,

You gave me life, purpose and vision.

You gave me hope.

You came at the right time,
My strength could no longer see me through.

All I turned to for help,

No matter how good they were, and how hard they tried,

They could not bring me out of my mess.

Their best failed,

And disappointment was my lot.

But you lord, you alone did it.

It wasn’t easy I know,

You went an extra mile- the cross and used the last of yourself to save me.

Now life makes a whole new meaning to me,

And I can go on because of your love.

My future is so bright I know all because you are the foundation of my hope
